Who We Are
EURO ADV is a free community project for sharing and discovering motorcycle GPX routes across Europe. For privacy questions or data requests, contact hello@euroadv.eu.
No data protection officer is appointed for this community project. If EURO ADV becomes a registered company or commercial service, this notice should be updated.
Data We Collect
- Account data, such as email address, username, profile name, avatar, authentication state, and account role.
- Community content, such as GPX files, route titles, descriptions, route geometry, images, comments, ratings, favorites, and moderation status.
- Download and interaction data, such as GPX download counts, favorite actions, review activity, and admin actions.
- Contact email data, including sender address, message content, email metadata, and attachments sent to hello@euroadv.eu.
- Technical data, such as IP address, browser information, request logs, security logs, and diagnostics generated by hosting and service providers.
- Map and location lookup data sent to OpenStreetMap tile servers or Nominatim when maps or location search features are used.
How We Use Data
- To create and manage rider accounts.
- To publish, display, moderate, and make community routes downloadable.
- To run favorites, ratings, comments, profile pages, uploads, and GPX downloads.
- To respond to emails and support requests.
- To prevent abuse, spam, unauthorized access, and unsafe or unlawful content.
- To maintain, debug, secure, and improve the website.
Legal Bases
Depending on the feature, EURO ADV relies on the following legal bases: providing the community service requested by the user, legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, consent where a user voluntarily submits content or contacts the project, and legal obligations where applicable.
Public Content
Route pages, public profiles, usernames, profile names, avatars, route images, comments, ratings, and approved route details may be visible to other visitors. Do not upload GPX files, photos, names, locations, or comments that you do not want shared with the community.
Service Providers
EURO ADV uses third-party providers to operate the site:
- Supabase for authentication, database records, route files, image storage, private GPX storage, and session handling.
- Vercel for hosting, deployment, network delivery, server logs, and security operations.
- Resend for receiving and forwarding messages sent to hello@euroadv.eu.
- OpenStreetMap and Nominatim for map tiles and location lookup data.
- Email providers used by the project or by users when sending messages.
These providers may process data in the European Economic Area or other countries under their own infrastructure, contracts, and safeguards.
Retention
- Account data is kept while the account remains active unless deletion is requested or retention is needed for security, moderation, or legal reasons.
- Public route and community content is kept until removed by the user where available, removed by an admin, or no longer needed for the community library.
- Private GPX files and uploaded images are kept while the route exists, unless removed earlier.
- Contact emails are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable record of the conversation.
- Technical logs are kept according to provider defaults and operational security needs.
- Backups may retain data for a limited period before normal overwrite or deletion cycles complete.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact hello@euroadv.eu to make a request.
If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
EURO ADV is intended for riders and route contributors who can responsibly use motorcycle route information. It is not directed to children under 16.
